Queen Phyllis Matte – bareMinerals Loose Eyeshadow

Hey beauties!

I know I skipped out on you guys for Monday Mood Board day but I feel like both you and the blog are getting kind of flooded by them and I want to have a bigger variety of things for you guys when you scroll through my home page. So you will still be getting MM Boards just not as frequently because I think I’ve been getting a little too carried away with them.

But anyway, onto the whole review. This loose eyeshadow is something I have had for a while now but just got around to using it. The product is by bareMinerals and is called Queen Phyllis Matte. I really like it- just had to get that out first.

DSCF5530 copyThe creaminess is unbelievable and it is by far the best quality eyeshadow I own. The color itself is nothing special but it is pretty nonetheless, it is a champagne-cream color and is indeed a matte as the name suggests. However, it does have tiny sparkles in it that reflect gorgeously in the light so it depends on how matte you like your eyeshadows to be. As far as pigmentation goes, it rocks!

ONE SWIPE! Cool, huh?

With barely any of the loose powder on my finger, I swiped it over my skin and what you see in the pick above was with only one swipe? Amazing. It is the perfect kind of shadow for an all over color on the lid and adds a nice bit of shine to your eyes with subtle glitters. For $14 it is not too bad for a more high-end shadow, especially considering how great everything about it has turned out to be and the color range is huge on the bareMinerals website.

The only issue is creasing, since it’s so creamy if you don’t wear a good eye primer it will crease like crazy (not to mention if you have oily lids like muah). Even with an eye primer the shadow had creased enough to be noticeable by the end of the day and it was a bit of a let down.

OVERALL: Recommended With Hesitation

If you have a kick-ass eye primer and relatively dry lids, this is a gold mine for you. If not, try them with caution before you buy a tone to see how they function with you skin type. Hope this was helpful to you beauties! MUAH!!!

Bye beautiful little Dreamers!

❤ Jacquie
